Information on recordings: Most of the earlier of these songs were recorded using “Band-in-a-Box” sampled tracks at Ricky Recordo’s in Santa Fe, NM, with Rick Mena on guitar, and occasional harmonica, banjo, etc., and Jim Terr on bass on a couple. Newer tracks also recorded — almost entirely- on Band-in-a-Box. Most vocals by Jim Terr, most harmonies by Margaret Burke, some by Marilyn Priddy. Kevin Zoernig plays solo piano on several of the newest songs. “Son of a Rabbi Man” features Steve Hill, Michael Hearne and Mark Clark. Other background vocals by Lydia Clark, Michael Hearne, Trez Gregory; mandolin by Rich Hardy, keyboards by Alberto Alcocer, and live BuDDy audiences at Tricklock’s Reptilian Lounge, Albuquerque, NM. Video Example — “The Day I Died” Vicki Noratuk’s Story. Vicki Noratuk, blind from birth, was in a severe car crash, in Jan 1973. After experiencing the same “Popping out of the Body” experience as other NDE’s have reported and experienced, she had a weird and scary sensation. She could see! She saw her own body from a distance as she hovered at the ceiling above her bed. She had never perceived things at a distance because she had to touch them. Even in her dreams, she only experiences of taste, sound and touch, and had no visual impressions at all. Once again, this example shows us that the true functioning and consciousness resides outside the physical Body. While she still perceived herself “In Her Body,” she was unable to see. This was perfectly appropriate because, if your eyes don’t work, you are not supposed to see. However, we know, that we are only limited because we think we are. If there are people who can see with their finger tips and their ear lobes, she could see despite the condition of her eyes. This is proved, when she “pops out” of her body, and begins to see.
