is this rich??

So. Where i live, theres different definitions of "rich". & its starting to confuse me…so. tell me if you think my family & i are "rich".
my house has five rooms, a garage, a pool, a attic, and two bathrooms.
ive had two laptops, they both broke. & i have a desktop now..=/
ive had like 4 or 5 phones in the past 6 years, my current one is a sidekick. ive had an ipod [lost] & an mp3 [stolen]. my dad has three cars. & gets paid 4 thousand a week.
although richness/money doesnt matter, i wnna know. its not like im some stuck up snotty girl who thinks shes better than everybody else, because im actually pretty nice. =] & for those of you who think that material posessions are better than love/friends/family, then you got issues. & for the people who think they’re better than everyone else, then you need to take a look in the mirror because all the damage you’ve done will always be right behind you.
well anyway; tell me if this is what you call "Rich".
yes, i know that family, friends, and love are THE most important thing out there, & i know im very lucky, and fufilled in that area, so thats why i didnt ask about the people i care about. Because i love them enough to ACTUALLY be greatful for them, and everything they provide for me.
its ridicoulous to me that you have to ask
of course youre family would definetly be considered upperclass or rich
youre family would be considered rich if all you did is say your fathers salary. especially if that was after taxes

To me, a rich person has financial freedom. This is, you work by choice and not by necessity as your assets give you enough passive income to live without working. In other words, a rich person doesn’t have to work.
A person might have a big salary, a big house, nice cars etc… but if that person loses his job and gets in trouble (debt) then that person is not rich.

Your dad at 4k per week is bringing in 200,000 a year. that is good money. As far as the quality of your life is concerned your true wealth is your friends and family.. so maybe think about that instead.

Let me tell you something. The word rich can be tricky. You can have a Mansion, Lexus, designer purses, flat screen, ipod, ect…..but if you took out a loans for it all…you are stupid and poor. The ONLY thing you should finance is you home.
I find it strange your parents tell you how much money they make i think that is private. So ask your parents how much debt that have….

Yes, and you’re in denial if you say you’re not bragging. By describing what you have, it makes you seem snotty (even though you claim you’re not). When you don’t tell people about the things you have, it makes you humble.
So yes, your family is rich….and I would suggest not telling people what you have so you don’t seem snotty.

you sound poor to me, better invest in those other silly things like love, friends and family. with things the way they are right now just be happy you have a roof over your head.

"rich" doesn’t really exist..
No one can be "rich enough," there’s almost no such thing as "too much money" haha..
It also depends on lifestyle… my brother makes alot of money (he makes in 1 week more than what both my parents make in a month COMBINED), but he spends it all trying to live a playboy lifestyle.
Your family is definitely well off though.
